Gdynia Opener lineup big poster on the building

The biggest music festivals in Poland (2026)

Event travelling is becoming more and more popular. It’s a great way to see the event related sports or music and visit the place at the same time.

Poland is becoming more popular as a music destination due to the many concerts and events that take place here. Especially during the summer!

The idea of this post came from the fact that I live in Gdynia, the city where the most well-known festival takes place. So why not write about it and other music events too?

Which music festivals in Poland are the biggest and the best? Let’s see.

Concerts

This blog post is mainly about festivals. However, recently there have been quite a few single concerts in Poland as well. Warsaw, for example, was included in the last tour of Taylor Swift or Justin Timberlake.

Concerts take place in different arenas (mostly in Ergo Arena in Gdansk or Tauron Arena in Kraków), but the biggest ones are organised at stadiums.

Usually there are two biggest stadiums in question: National Stadium in Warsaw (Stadion Narodowy) or Śląski Stadium in Chorzów.

Thanks to this, you can additionally visit Warsaw, capital of Poland, or Chorzów and Katowice (the region called Śląsk, in the south of Poland) or even Kraków, which is not far from Chorzów.

Two biggest music festivals in Poland

There are two of the biggest and most well-known festivals in Poland, both taking place in summer.

Gdynia Opener Festival

I think Opener is the most well-known internationally. It’s also one of the biggest music festivals in Europe. Last year there were over 130 000 unique guests visiting (during 4 years).

I know this festival quite well, as it’s based in my city, and I used to go there before. The concerts that I remember the most were Kings of Leon, Pearl Jam and The Prodigy. Now I feel a little bit ‘too old’ (although the line-up this year looks pretty good for older millennials), but I’m still up-to-date. Well, many citizens of Gdynia have to be, as the festival is so big it does influence our lives during festival week (it’s not to complain though; it’s obvious and normal:).

Festival has been organised for 23 years now. The first edition was organised in Warsaw, and then, since 2003, it’s been organised in Gdynia. It gives an additional touch to the festival, as Gdynia is a seaside city, with a public beach in the centre and a holiday vibe (and part of so-called Polish Tricity with famous Gdansk). The festival firstly took place in Gdynia centre (next to the sea), later it was moved to the airport and prolonged to 4 days.

Opener Details

The festival yearly takes place at the end of June/beginning of July.

Here you can find all the details, prices, and lineup for the year.

Pol’And’Rock

The second biggest festival in Poland is Pol’And’Rock, which used to be called Przystanek Woodstock (The Woodstock Stop). I would say it’s less fancy and instagrammable festival, with more of ‘Woodstock’ vibe and music. The second difference is that entry is free.

The festival is organised by the Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy foundation, an NGO that organises the biggest charity event in Poland in January for many years now.

It’s in Czaplinek, a small town with the lake. There is also tent camping for festival guests provided.

Other festivals in Poland

Those 2 festivals described are definitely the biggest and the most known but not the only ones. In summer, especially, there are many more festivals in different cities. I’m not able to describe all of them, but let’s look at the other ones that grab the biggest attention.

Męskie Granie

It’s not one but actually the series of festivals in different cities. It’s mostly with Polish stars, but with quite good music. It’s very popular in Poland, and it’s really tough to buy a ticket for any of the events.

Every year, the main singers release a special song, and most of the time, it becomes a big hit in Poland.

Here for details regarding dates, etc.

Orange Warsaw Festival

The next festival takes place in Warsaw, at a horse racing track, so it’s quite convenient for guests travelling from abroad. It’s been organised for many years now. It usually takes place at the start of festival seasons.

Dates in 2026: 29-30.05.2026

Here you can find all the details.

Audioriver Festival

Festival Audioriver is the biggest electronic music festival. It takes place in Łódź, a big city not far from Warsaw.

Here is their website where you can find all the details and the lineup.

Mystic Festival

I think it’s really good that there are so many festivals that differ when it comes to music type. The Mystic Festival that takes place in Gdańsk is the biggest metal music festival in Poland. Additionally, it takes place in a very special surrounding, in Stocznia (Shipyard). And Gdańsk is just the best place to visit in summer time, so if it’s your type of music, have it on your radar.

OFF festival

OFF Festival Katowice, organised by Polish musician, is a festival with more alternative music and an interesting line-up, a bit ‘different’ from many other festivals.

Katowice city has an airport; you can always fly to Kraków, which is not far, so generally it is very easy to visit it.

And details here.

Globaltica

We started the blog post in Gdynia, and let’s come back to Gdynia for the end (although it’s definitely not the last festival worth a visit in Poland).

Festival Globaltica in 2025 will already have its 20th edition. It’s a festival of world cultures, with more ethno music. It takes place in the Park Kolibki, a forest close to the seaside, so the surroundings of the festival are really beautiful.

Dates in 2026: 17-19.07.2026

Bittersweet Festival

Festival that takes place in Poznań, gaining popularity, with very known names already announced for 2026 (e.g. Gorillaz as one headliner). Festival takes place in Park Cytadela, and Poznań is a nice destination for short city-break, easy to reach with international airport.
