About me

Hi, Nice to meet you, I’m Aleksandra.

Welcome to my travel blog about Poland. You will find here all the information needed to organise your best trip to Poland.

I’m a content creator and travel writer and I’m based in Poland. The country is getting more and more known as a travel destination in Europe, so I want to use my local knowledge and help foreign tourists craft the perfect itinerary.

I come from Bydgoszcz city and lived for 5 years in Poznań (if you have more time during your trip to Poland, you should see both of them). But for many years I’ve been living in the beautiful coastal city of Gdynia. You may not have heard about it, but there’s higher chance you have heard about Gdańsk, which together with Gdynia and Sopot forms Tricity. I will tell you about it, and the whole Pomerania region in my posts.

How did the idea of the blog start?

I travel a lot, especially in Europe. I have Master’s in Croatian and Serbian Studies and Languages, and the Balkan region is very important on the route of my travels. I share travel tips based on my travels on another blog. Besides, I’m a big sports fan and sports volunteer, and I write about it as well.

I’ve written about many European countries, but somehow less about my own. So I decided it’s time to change it and share my Polish travel knowledge, too. I wanted to give you more insider tips and recommendations so that you see something more than Warsaw or Kraków. Don’t get me wrong; they are both great, but they are not the only places to see.

Poland has a great coast and beautiful sandy beaches (and sometimes troubles with sunny weather to enjoy them), mountains, many lakes and forests, and historical bigger and smaller cities. You will not see all of them in one trip. But together we definitely can fit the best destinations into a Poland itinerary that will work for you and make you fall in love with the country so much that you keep wanting to come back until you see them all.

What you can expect from this blog?

My experience in travelling helps me to understand what tourists need to know about the visited country.

I’ve worked in the company with many foreigners who came to live and work in Gdynia. What’s more, my partner is not Polish, but he spends part of his time in Poland. Because of that I can ask real people what their actual Polish experiences are and what can be surprising, nicely or not, for foreigners.

On the blog, I speak about regions and cities and what to see and do in them. About different events organised in Poland, like the biggest music festivals or Christmas markets. I also share practical information and tips about transport or food.

I want to show you the best of Poland. I want you to see and experience something more than ‘vodka and pierogi (dumplings)’.

Welcome to my Polish travel blog and welcome to Poland!
